This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| It was my first ever gig in September 1980 when I was 13. I remember the amazing
lighting and stage so well and Gary emerging half way through the gig in a remote
control car similar to a Sinclair C5 (remember them?). I saw Gary about 10 times in
all and even managed to get backstage in 1983 at his Warriors tour. I still have my
signed programme & ticket, which even his mum & dad signed along with all the band &
support act Tik & Tok.

| I had a bet that I'd meet Numan at the Warriors gig at the Apollo 1983 and jumped
from the 2nd floor balcony laft of stage facing from crowd and jumped behind the PA
stack as gary was doing his encore. I walked onstage and shook hands where he
said "where the **** did you come from" I was then escorted off by
Chris his minder where his dad Tony Webb spoke to me before I returned back to my
seat in the balcony £10.00 better off ;-) I managed to get a photo of this in
the Fin Costello Warriors Tour Book.
We then went back to the Grosvenor Hotel
where Gary was staying to get Strathclyde police turn up en masse as we tried to get
into the hotel to meet him :-) Someone set off the alarms - It was like a
sketch out of a comedy show.
Gary
